Rotary International President Bill Boyd
In Salt Lake City at the Rotaract Convention 2007,
Carrie Salts, the Rotaract Representative from Rotary District 5320, met Rotary international President William Boyd…………….
The occasion was a Rotaract meeting where Rotaract Leaders from around the world were meeting. They discussed their projects and plans for the future. President Boyd praised them and encouraged them…………..
Rotaractors are individuals of good character ages 18-30. They care about their communities and the world. These young professionals and College students want to help by donating time and effort in programs and events to promote a better world. As these young adults work with their local Rotary, Rotaract and Interact Clubs around the world, they are making a positive difference. Through their efforts, millions are being helped by Literacy, Clean Water and other projects…………..
Rotary District 5320 has 50 Rotary, 6 Rotaract and 40 Interact Clubs. Carrie Salts was President of the North Orange County Community Rotaract Club 2005-06. During her year, the club won the Rotary International Presidential Citation for Service. Carrie is a senior at Cal-State Fullerton. She is also a life Girl Scout, with many accomplishments to her credit…………
Rotary International has 1.3 million members worldwide representing nearly 200 countries.
Rotary was founded in 1905 in Chicago. It was the first and is the largest service club in the world. When you add the Rotaract Clubs, Interact Clubs, Youth Exchange and Rotary Families, the impact of Rotary is tremendous. The “Service-above-Self” motto is changeing the world everyday. For example the Polio Plus Program where Rotary International is the lead organization working to stop Polio worldwide.
