Rotary Governor John Brainerd visits Buena Park Rotary

District Governor, John Brainerd visited our club October 17. A board meeting was held before the regular meeting. We discussed many of the club measurements and accomplishments. John was impressed with our club’s local community involvement. He praised our clubs participation at the district level. We have 2 AG’s (Steve Chen & Dennis Salts), the District Youth Director (Dennis Salts), Rotaract Chairman (Dr. George West), District Speech Co-Chairman (Mike Mahoney), and an Interact District area Advisor (Javier Lopez). Buena Park Rotary club is a growing club with a youthful membership. Our members are committed to making a difference in the community and the world. The membership represents a wide variety of vocations, cultures and ages. John & Club President Shailesh Shah presented our newest member David Caldwell with his Rotary badge. John talked about how important the Rotary International Foundation is in accomplishing the work of Rotarians worldwide. Governor Brainerd recognized Dennis Salts for his significant Rotary Foundation contributions. Our newest Rotary Foundation Paul Harris Fellow is Baron Night.Visitors are welcome to our weekly meetings at Mrs. Knotts Chicken Dinner Restaurant on Wednesdays at Noon.
