Brendan Shields food Services Directors at Centralia School District Honored with Rotary Vocational Service Award.
Brendan Shields began his career in food service at the Disneyland Resort where he spent nearly 8 years practicing the highest standards in service and hospitality. In his time at Disneyland, he experienced many different avenues of food service including cafeterias, buffets, outdoor vending, quick service, and fine dining. After Disney, Brendan expanded his experience to hotels, where he coordinated banquets and managed corporate accounts. Brendan then joined ECOLAB, where he worked as a Territory Representative training Food Retail Establishments best practices in food safety and sanitation. Brendan is now proud to call Centralia School District home as their Director of Food Services. Growing up and attending school in the neighboring city of Anaheim, Brendan is excited to now serve the students that will be the future of his community. Brendan and his Food Service staff are committed to developing a Food Service program that will provide students with healthy and appealing foods along with exceptional customer service.

Brendan began his college career at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa where he completed coursework in Business, Food Service, and Culinary Arts. He then transferred to California State Polytechnic University of Pomona where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

Brendan resides in the city of Anaheim with his wife Christina who is a teacher in the Magnolia School District. Brendan says that his wife’s strong commitment to the education of her students serves as an inspiration for him to work hard and help enrich the overall education and development of students.
