Rotary High School Speech Contest

Rotary International has a National High School speech contest each year. This year’s theme is “Lead the Way.” The Buena Park Rotary Club sponsored their local competition on Wednesday the 17th of January. Eight local High School Students competed in the contest. These students were from both Savanna and Buena Park High Schools.

The First Place Winner was Christian Bueno from Buena Park High. The First Alternate was Preston Juarez from Savanna High. On February 28th, 1st place students from six Rotary Clubs will compete at the next level. The event will be held at Knott’s Berry Farm.
