2011.10 03 Chili Cook-off at Silverado Days

The City of Buena Park has a family friendly event in October at William Peak Park. The event was started many years ago as Western Days by the Rotary Club and other local organizations. Today it is called Silverado Days and the city supports this event with resources. Silverado Days runs from Friday Oct 14 thru Sunday Oct. 16 this year. Many clubs and local organizations participate.
The lead club is the Buena Park Noon Lions.

Buena Park Rotarians helping on this event were: Karla Galindo, The Salts family Christiane, Carrie, and Dennis .with Baron Night, Beth Swift and Virginia Vaughn.

Our team took 3rd place overall and participated in other events as well. Arm Wreseling, Mens Legs Contest and Hog Calling. They were first place winners in the Hog calling competition.

All in all everyone had a nice day.
